Seventh Generation Model: Collaboration Between the Adirondack History Museum and OurStoryBridge, Connecting the Past and the Present

Adirondack History Museum

Jery Y. Huntley received her B.A. in Education and MLS at the University at Albany, but her career took a different turn after her start as a teacher and school and public librarian in New York. She moved back to Albany to work for the NYS Assembly, then headed to Washington, DC for a position in the U.S. House of Representatives. This led to opportunities in environmental lobbying, issues management, twenty years as a trade association CEO, and training in meeting facilitation. She lives in Washington, DC and Keene Valley, NY, and her volunteer work now includes President of the Board of Directors and full time staff at OurStoryBridge Inc., formerly a project of the Keene Valley Library and now an independent 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit, and leading two OurStoryBridge projects, Adirondack Community sponsored by the Keene Valley Library and Freedom Story Project sponsored by John Brown Lives!.

Aurora McCaffrey received her B.A. in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. She is the Executive Director of the Adirondack History Museum in Elizabethtown, NY, and has been with the museum since 2011. Aurora is the Essex County Historian. Through the museum, she leads workshops on topics such as collections care, genealogical research, and audio/visual preservation.
