Organization Members

Based on the organization's budget size

Up to a 10-member bundle

Listing on MANY's public membership map

Non-profit museums, historical societies, zoos, botanical gardens, and aquariums, etc, incorporated and operating in New York State. Organizational Membership includes a bundle of 10 individual profiles for specific museum staff, board, and volunteers to log in and access member benefits. Budget size is self-reported and generally based on the organization's most recently submitted 990.

NYCON Affiliate Membership

The New York State Council of Nonprofits helps New York's nonprofits to build their capacity for growth and community impact with resources that include:

NYCON Affiliation Memberships are only available for active MANY Organizational Members and are valid from January to December. Rate is based on organizational budget size.

For-profit industry partners seeking to connect with and support cultural organizations and museum professionals across New York State. MANY works with Industry partners to identify opportunities to support member needs. Industry memberships includes a bundle of 10 individual profiles, allowing specific staff to log in, access industry member benefits, and connect with museums and museum professionals across New York State. NOTE: Industry members have restricted access to member generated content on forums etc. Access to MANY’s full member list with contact details is likewise limited. NO member, of any kind, has access or permissions to such details for personal or commercial use.

A new membership level launched in 2025 in response to public funding cuts that had a profound impact on museums across the state. Museum Advocate Membership recognizes the shared expenses of sustained advocacy for museums and the growing importance of state-level collaboration. The Advocate level covers the full administrative cost and fees associated with the MANY membership. Thus, ensuring MANY can invest the most significant proportion of funding possible directly in member programs and services, and can provide continued accessibility and service to the broadest number of organizations. Museum Advocates are proudly contributing to a larger collective effort to advance the field. Suggested for institutions with annual operating budgets exceeding $20 million, open to all institutions and/or individuals.
