Join MANY and your museum colleagues for a special tour of the Voices and Votes: Democracy in America Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition at Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site on Saturday, June 8!

Did you know that Sackets Harbor Battlefield site interprets the War of 1812 story through its mid-19th-century Navy Yard as an internationally recognized battleground? Sackets Harbor is one of twelve museums hosting Voices and Votes for six weeks each through January 2026, offering museum visitors across New York State a unique cultural experience. This exhibition coincides with the New York State Parks Centennial Celebration.

This meet-up is free, and advance registration is required. 

The meet-up includes a guided tour of the Smithsonian and Sackets Harbor’s responsive exhibitions. MANY will share additional resources and help guide a conversation about how NYS museums and historic sites can commemorate the upcoming semiquincentennial.
