STATE OF NYS MUSEUMS
In 2019, 206 (15%) of NYS museums responded to a survey to create the State of NYS Museums report, the first statewide assessment report issued by MANY in 10 years.

2020: 3,917 people from 799 organizations attended 31 organizations,
a 764% increase from 2019
In 2020, MANY Partnered with the William G. Pomeroy Foundation to create The Pomeroy Fund for NYS History. 69 history-related organizations with budgets under $150,000 were awarded $147,808.
IMLS CARES ACT GRANT MANY Awarded $498,407
98 New York State museums and 203 museum professionals were selected to participate in "Building Capacity, Creating Sustainability, Growing Accessibility," an IMLS CARES Act Grant project designed to help museums impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic share their collections and reach audiences who cannot physically visit their museums.
